Improving Safety, Security, Equity and Access 

To maximize instruction, our students need environments that are conducive to learning. Roofs that leak into classrooms, learning spaces that are too hot or too cold, or classrooms humming with the sound of dehumidifiers are not conducive to learning. Our students – your children – deserve better. 

All schools in the Bordentown Regional School District would benefit from renovations proposed in the bond referendum that would help improve learning conditions, access and equity for students with disabilities, and safety and security districtwide. 

In selecting projects to include in the bond referendum, the district focused on projects that address the most pressing needs and qualify for the maximum amount of state aid to help offset the cost to taxpayers.

Improving Learning Environments/Energy Efficiency

  • Replace out-of-warranty roofs that leaking into learning spaces and other roofs at all schools. 

  • Replace heating, air conditioning and temperature control systems at all schools. 

  • Replace interior lighting fixtures 

  • Replace auditorium sound system in the high school 

  • Replacing windows and caulking in older buildings

Increasing Safety and Security 

  • Replace crumbling sidewalks and cracked asphalt at all schools. 

  • Replace interior doors and hardware. 

  • Place exterior lighting fixtures 

  • Upgrade various electrical system at all school
