Behind the Numbers
The school district serves three communities: Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, and Fieldsboro. If the referendum passes, each community will have a different estimated tax impact based on the average assessed value of a home in that municipality.
Please note that assessed value is different from market value. Assessed value is determined by the county for tax purposes, and market value is how much a homeowner could expect to receive by selling their house.
The chart below provides the estimated monthly tax impact for homeowners based on the average assessed value of a home in each community. The term of the bond is 20 years.
| Community | Bordentown City | Bordentown Twp. | Fieldsboro |
| Avg. Assessed Home Value | $206,218 | $243,967 | $208,879 |
| Estimated Monthly Tax Impact | $38 | $49 | $35 |

Diligent With Your Dollars
Bordentown Regional School District looks out for its taxpayers by seeking opportunities for savings and alternate funding sources:
-
Secured state grant to fund HVAC upgrades at the high school; also used capital reserves for $8 million in capital improvements since 2020
-
Refinanced debt from a previous referendum to save taxpayers nearly $680,000
-
Held 2026-27 tax levy under 2% cap while most surrounding districts did not
A bond referendum is consistent with seeking ways to improve our buildings that do not rely solely on local taxpayers.
