Superintendent's Corner

Dear Bordentown Regional Families,
I hope this message finds you and your family well and enjoying the summer break. We wanted to reach out and let the community know we have launched a redesigned district website built to be cleaner, easier to navigate, and more useful on your phone, tablet, or computer. The site is up now, but it is very much a work in progress. Throughout the summer, our team will continue building it out adding new pages, resources, calendars, and back-to-school information as we prepare for the fall. I encourage you to bookmark the site and check back often as the summer progresses. The website you see in late August will have grown considerably from the one you visit today, and we want our families to watch it take shape alongside us.
Additionally, beginning in the 2026–27 school year, ParentSquare will become our district's all-in-one communication platform. Instead of juggling multiple apps from school to school, ParentSquare brings everything into one easy-to-use place accessible right from your phone or computer.
Here is some of what ParentSquare can do:
- One place for everything - posts, updates, and general information from your child's teacher, school, and the district, all in a single feed.
- Time-sensitive alerts — Receive important notices about closures, weather events, early dismissals, and safety drills. In urgent situations, you'll be reached through every channel at once — app, email, text, and voice call — so you never miss critical information.
- Automatic translation - If you prefer communication in a language other than English, ParentSquare automatically translates communication into your preferred language (more than 180 are available), and translates your replies back to the sender. Communication should work for every family, and this makes that possible.
The best way to prepare is to activate your account now so you are ready when the new school year begins, and for your convenience page 2 of this memo has the directions needed to sign up and download Parentsquare on any device you would like.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Strong communication between home and school is one of the most important things we can build together, and these two tools are a meaningful step forward. I look forward to a connected and successful 2026–27 school year.
Sincerely,
James Altobello, Ed.D.
Superintendent
